1. About these terms

By installing, purchasing, or using Dogger, you agree to these terms. If you use Dogger for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. The software and licence

Dogger is proprietary macOS software for organising and running development tasks. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Dogger on Macs you own or control, subject to these terms. You may not resell, sublicense, distribute, or make a licence key available to another person.

The Free edition currently supports one project and two contexts. Dogger Premium is available as a Lifetime licence or a one-time Yearly licence that expires after its stated term. Either removes those limits while its key remains valid. Premium is not a subscription and does not create a Dogger cloud account.

3. Premium validation and refunds

Happy Coder Industries Limited sells Dogger Premium. You may apply a Dogger-issued discount code, subject to its product, expiry, and use limits. For a paid order, Stripe processes the card payment through its hosted Checkout but is not the merchant of record. If a discount reduces the amount below Dogger’s payment threshold, Dogger may provide the licence without taking payment or contacting Stripe. After confirmed payment or a server-authorized free checkout, Dogger issues the licence and emails its key to the checkout address.

Dogger sends an entered or saved licence key to Dogger’s licence-validation service, which checks Dogger’s licence database. The key is stored in macOS Keychain. Non-secret plan, purchaser-display, and last-validation metadata is stored locally.

Recent successful validation may be reused for 24 hours. Stale credentials are rechecked at startup and periodically. A previously confirmed Premium entitlement continues during temporary network or service failures while its saved Keychain credential remains available. A confirmed invalid, disabled, expired, or refunded licence stops granting Premium immediately. Logging out removes the local licence credential and entitlement metadata, but not projects, tasks, settings, or run history.

4. Executable tasks and your responsibility

Dogger task definitions are executable programs. You are responsible for reviewing tasks, their dependencies, and their effects before running them.

• Local tasks run with your macOS user permissions and can read, change, or delete files and access services available to that user.
• Container tasks run inside an already-running container that you manage. Dogger does not create, start, stop, or secure containers for you.
• Dogger’s own storage and generation features keep their managed state outside configured project codebases, but a task you run can modify locations its execution environment permits.
• Premium shared task sources exchange repository content with a Git host only when you explicitly clone, pull, or push. Shared definitions are untrusted executable content and must be reviewed and approved before Dogger makes them available to a local context.

Keep suitable backups and do not run a task you do not understand or trust.

5. AI and third-party services

Premium AI features use an API credential you provide and send selected task, codebase, prompt, audio, or run context to the configured provider. Provider terms, charges, and data practices apply separately. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and must be reviewed before use. 6. Optional telemetry and feedback

Product telemetry is optional and disabled unless you explicitly allow it. In-app feedback is submitted only after you review its payload and choose Send. These services may be unavailable temporarily; queued delivery does not change the availability of Dogger’s local task features. The categories, exclusions, retention periods, and controls are described in our Privacy Policy.

You retain ownership of feedback you submit. You give us the limited permission needed to receive, store, review, reply to, and use that feedback to support and improve Dogger. Do not submit content you are not authorised to share. Administrator access to these operational services is separate from Premium licensing and does not create a general Dogger end-user account.

7. Updates and distribution trust

Supported releases are distributed through a direct DMG, the Dogger install script, and Homebrew for Apple Silicon Macs. Release builds use Apple Developer ID signing, hardened runtime, and notarisation so macOS Gatekeeper can assess the application.

Direct in-app updates additionally use Tauri update signatures to verify update-package integrity. Apple signing/notarisation credentials and Tauri updater credentials are independent and may rotate separately. Homebrew installations update through Homebrew.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use Dogger unlawfully or to infringe another person’s rights;
• bypass licence, entitlement, or technical restrictions;
• share, sell, or publish a Premium licence key; or
• interfere with Dogger’s website, validation service, or other users’ access.

We may restrict access to services we operate where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security, fraud, or legal requirements.

9. Ownership

Happy Coder Industries Limited and its licensors retain all rights in Dogger, its branding, and its supplied materials. You retain rights in your own projects, task definitions, prompts, and other content. These terms do not transfer ownership of that content to us.

10. Availability, support, and responsibility

Dogger is supplied on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every environment, a particular support response time, or that every defect will be corrected. Support is available by email, without a service-level commitment.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or statutory rights where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to that rule, you are responsible for your execution environments, backups, tasks, provider accounts, and decisions made using generated output.

11. Ending use

You may stop using Dogger and remove it at any time. Logout removes the saved Premium credential but does not delete local Dogger data. You remain responsible for deleting local data you no longer want.

We may end or restrict the licence for a material breach of these terms, subject to applicable law. Provisions that by their nature continue after termination—including ownership, responsibility, and governing law—remain in effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Consumers retain any mandatory rights and access to local courts provided by the law where they live.
